Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced undergraduate student to join our team as a Social Media Intern. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating posts and managing our social media accounts and presence in general. This role requires expertise in Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube among others with a focus on managing institutional accounts.

Responsibilities:
Content Creation

1. Develop engaging and creative content for various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
2. Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with Afro Technologies’ brand and messaging through blog posts etc.

Social Media Management

1. Monitor and manage Afro Technologies’ social media accounts.
2. Schedule posts, respond to comments, messages, and engage with the online community.

Audience Engagement

1. Foster positive interactions with followers and respond to inquiries.
2. Actively participate in relevant conversations within the education and technology space.

Campaigns and Initiatives

1. Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns and initiatives.
2. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.

Analytics

1. Track and analyze the performance of social media content using analytics tools.
2. Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing content and improving engagement.

Qualifications

1. Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student.
2. Strong understanding of and experience with Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
3. Verifiable experience with WordPress would be an added advantage.
4. Creative mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Spark, etc.) is a plus.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrix team.

Compensation
The successful intern will receive a monthly stipend between GHC800 to GHC1200.

Duration: 2 Semesters with possibility of extension based on performance.
